The Odd Life of Timothy Green Trailer

I have a feeling when I finally see The Odd Life of Timothy Green that I’ll probably cry.  It’s a side-effect of having a kid.  Those emotions that never seemed to surface before come out at the most random of times.  What used to be reserved for only ASPCA commercials now even happens during animated movies.  The ending to Toy Story 3?  Rough.

Directed by Peter Hedges and written by Ahmet Zappa (yes Frank Zappa’s son), The Life of Timothy Green is a story about a childless couple who can’t wait to start a family.  One night they write down all their wishes for a son on pieces of paper and bury them in a box in the back yard.  Soon a child is born, Timothy Green, who is not all that he appears.  Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Garner star as Jim and Cindy Green.  Check out the trailer below.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green opens in theaters everywhere on Wednesday, August 15.  Exactly two months from today.  Mark your calendars and be sure to bring tissue.

  7. OMGosh – your comment about ASPCA commercials really hit home. My husband hears Sara McLachlan singing, and he comes running, to change the channel, before I start tearing up…and I’m forbidden from watching the Animal Planet!
