Style Me by Fashion In The Forest

A lot of my favorite reality television shows have to do with fashion (or lack thereof).  I love, love, love TLC’s What Not To Wear with Stacy and Clinton.  Each time I go out with my girlfriends I secretly wish Stacy and Clinton would crash our moms night out and show up with footage in me traipsing around town in my workout clothes or over sized t-shirts.  Or better yet, wouldn’t it be nice to have a personal stylist like Rachel Zoe?  The only problem with that is she comes with a hefty price tag.  Well guess what?  One of my favorite blogs has started a new feature called Style Me by Fashion In The Forest.  And the best part?  I had the chance to be her first Style Me guest!

I am one of those people who needs to have an outfit completely put together and then I buy it.  Usually right off the mannequin.  Well, since I’ve lived in Arkansas and the shopping venues aren’t very plentiful, I’ve been grabbing pieces here or there that catch my eye.  The problem is once I get them home, I’m clueless on what to wear them with.  Usually there is one small thing that trips me up so I either return them or let them sit in my closet, waiting to find the perfect pants or shirt to go with whatever I bought.  I’ve been hanging onto two Daniel Cremieux shirts that I bought on clearance (no returning) thinking I would never know what to wear them with.  Until Tiffany decided to help me out.  Just check out these great options she gave me!  And the best part?  All of the items she suggested are under $50, which makes them totally affordable.

I bought this lime colored shirt last year and sadly it has been hanging in my closet with the tags still on because I wasn’t exactly sure how to wear it.  I think my problem was I tried to pair it with shorts.  Tiffany nailed it when she paired it with some skinny pants!

I love how she paired my shirt with a skirt in the top option and then with jeans for a more casual but classic look.  I especially love the earrings.  Because a girl just feels like that sometimes!

As much as I want to keep her all to myself, I wanted to let you know if you have a piece of clothing you own (or would like to own) and just don’t know quite how to style it, let Tiffany from Fashion In The Forest do it for you!  Send her a message or post on her Facebook page and she’ll do an awesome job for you!
