There are times I skip lunch. NOT because I want to but because I just don’t have the time. With deadlines, a to-do list a mile long and not enough hours in the day, I’m always looking for ways to have healthier, quick lunches at home and have found the solution with Lean Cuisine.
The convenience of throwing a meal in the microwave and heating it up is great, if it tastes good.

That’s not a problem with the Asian-inspired Lean Cuisine frozen meals I picked up at Sam’s Club (see what my daughter thinks of shopping in my Google+ album). The 6-pack included sesame chicken, ginger garlic stir fry with chicken and chicken teriyaki stir fry – the kind of foods I typically order when eating out. I love that I save money (only $9.25 for the 6-pack with my in-store savings) and more importantly time. In just a few minutes I can have a healthy, tasty meal.

Ranging from 220-330 calories each, the meals taste good and paired with a healthy side item, surprisingly filling. My favorite meal was the ginger garlic stir fry. I paired it with a simple frozen egg roll from Trader Joe’s. It looked so pretty on my plate that my husband thought I actually cooked lunch, as in chopped, peeled and prepared all the ingredients. Fooled him, didn’t I?

Any time you’re eating Asian inspired food, its an added treat to have a fortune cookie. I always love how they give you some oddball word to learn in Chinese and numbers to play in the next lottery.

So now instead of skipping lunch or grabbing something unhealthy like a bag of chips and diet pop, I’m going to make sure I have some of these yummy meals on hand. I need my fuel to keep up with my busy life and Lean Cuisine helps me keep the tank on full.

I definitely skip meals too…
My husband never complains about me shopping because I usually return 50% of everything I get….major buyer’s remorse!

Yum, I’ll have to try those. I’m not sure if I’ve seen them in the stores.
Ohhhhh!!! That looks delicious!
Who says frozen meals can’t taste and look delicious!?
