Don’t shoot the messenger but did you realize that in a few months, we’ll be getting out the holiday decorations, planning our family meals and shopping for presents?! If you’re like me, you like to do most of your shopping online. Sure there are some things you just can’t buy online (shoes for me – they never fit right) but when it comes to the little kids in our family, online shopping for children’s toys is easy with HABAusa.com.

Like many households, we use technology for everything. Sometimes a bit too much. So when it comes to buying toys for my daughter, I like to stay away from the electronic gadgets and get toys that require her to use her imagination. Just one of the reasons that I love the toy selection on HABAusa.com.
The HABA website is very well organized and easy to navigate. After clicking on the Products link, I noticed the various categories were listed on the left side of the page. There, toys are classified by category (baby, toddler, preschooler, etc.), price, age group, manufacturer and awards. Several of HABA’s products have the distinction of receiving The National Parent Seal of Approval, Parent’s Choice awards and so many more awards. As a parent, it does matter to me how toys are viewed in the industry and if I see that a toy has won several awards, I definitely check it out.

One other feature I really like about the HABA website is the wishlist feature. My daughter celebrated her 3rd birthday a few weeks ago and on almost a daily basis, I was asked what she would like for her birthday. Since no one seems to want to contribute to her college fund that I had suggested last year (I know, I know buying presents is more fun), I at least want to make sure the toys she does receive are more educational in nature. I want her to use her problem solving skills and imagination, while still having fun. By simply registering with HABA, I was able to create a wish list that helps friends and family when it comes to gift giving but also meets my approval.

Building Blocks Domino

My daughter is ready to knock down the tower.
The toys also meet my daughter’s approval. She loves the Building Blocks Domino because of the fun colors and the ability to “knock it down.” One of her favorite things to do is sort them by color. Playing with the blocks can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be. With 61 domino blocks, 8 pieces of untreated wood, 6 building block clamps, 2 wheel clamps, 2 conveyor wheels, 2 metal rods with eyelet and 6 marbles, the possibilities are endless. There are enough pieces that that at least two kids can play with the blocks and have ample pieces.
HABA is graciously offering one East9thStreet winner their very own set of Building Blocks Domino. The set retails for $74.99 and would make a wonderful holiday gift for the little (or big) one in your family. The contest is open to US only (sorry Canadian fans) and entry is via the Rafflecopter form below.
Disclosure: East9thStreet received product in order to facilitate this review. Regardless, opinions are 100% mine and yours may differ.
