When I finished my last 30 day challenge (BTW, I still have not drank any pop – go me!), I decided that I wanted to continue the trend and challenge myself every month. They say it takes 21 days to change a habit and I’m hoping that 30 days will really make it stick! It only made sense for the month of November instead of focusing on giving something up, I focused on the things I already have. The last 30 days has been extremely difficult for our family. We’ve gone through some things that no family wants to face, something that’s hard to talk about even with our closest family and friends. We’ve been focusing on the negative instead of the positive and that’s about to change. For the month of November, for the first time ever, I’m going to participate in 30 Days of Being Thankful. I think its time to redirect my energy and remember all the things that others don’t have and I take for granted. Now, I am going to warn you. It’s not going to be all rainbows and unicorns because let’s face it, that’s just not my style! I have to have a teency, weency bit of sarcasm every now and then.
But even though the sarcasm may be present, I sentiment behind it is true.
Day 1: I am thankful for public transportation and all the different smells that remind me of how lucky I am to have running water and the ability to bathe on a daily basis!
What are you thankful for?
