Coincidentally enough, the night I had my first taste of a Wonka Exceptionals Chocolate Bar, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was on TV! As a fan of Johnny Depp and dedicated to *doing my research* for this review (which consisted of eating chocolate all night long), I sat down and watched the movie. While I never found a golden ticket in my chocolate bars, I did spend the evening relaxing and licking my fingers.
The Bars
- Triple Dazzle Caramel (NEW): milk chocolate filled with luscious caramel, dazzled with sea salt
- Fantabulous Fudge (NEW): milk chocolate stuffed with delicious fudge, like your own personal bar of truffles.
- Chocolate Waterfall: milk & white chocolate cascading together.
- Scrumdiddlyumptious: delectable chunks of toffee, crispies and peanuts drowned in rich milk chocolate.
My personal favorite was the Triple Dazzle Caramel. Caramel and salt are guilty pleasures of mine (I can eat sea salt straight out of the jar) and the combination worked for me. While one of my friends thought the bars were a little too salty, I wished there was just a tad bit more. The caramel was creamy and sticky, just the way it should be. Each bar was scored for easier breaking but it didn’t seem to work as well on this bar as it did on the others. However, that didn’t stop me from eating half of this bar before trying the others. My husband was a huge fan of the Scrumdiddlyumptious while another friend loved the creaminess of the Chocolate Waterfall, showing that all the bars are very tasty and every palate can be satisfied.
Also fun and exciting is the Wonka Imagnation Room on YouTube! An interactive site with an optical illusion that I still can’t figure out!
