I will NEVER forget the time I took my daughter to see Disney Three Princesses Live. I was so excited as it was her first show of this kind. All the moms & kids from our playgroup went together with the little girls dressed in their princess clothes. I guess my memories of Snow White, Cinderella and Beauty & the Beast were always about the happy ending. I failed to remember that if you’re two years old, there are some really scary parts in there! We spent most of the show in the bathroom because my daughter was so scared. I want to share the classic stories with her but I don’t want her to be frightened of them. That’s why I’ve fallen in love with My1Story.

What seems sweet and innocent turns into something a little sophisticated for the imaginations of toddlers. In I Love Cake, instead of having the big, bad wolf, there was a little purple wolf and the only thing that was getting eaten was cake. My daughter loved the book so much that she had me read it to her three times in a row. It didn’t take her long to pick up on the concept of sharing, though I’m pretty sure if I asked her to share cake with me, she wouldn’t.

What a great idea! There are so many scary bits in kids stories; Snow White, Cinderella, The Princess and The Frog, even Finding Nemo. I might keep an eye out for these.
Many of the classic fairy tales are a bit dark. I had nightmares throughout childhood from seeing ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Love this idea!
My kid loves to hear stories every time before going to bed, sometimes I ran out of stories, I will have to purchase this book, it will be a new one for him.
