Disney Princess Royal Ball App

My little princess loves the colors pink and blue and I’m pretty sure W has always been her favorite letter in honor of Walt Disney.  She loves playing with makeup, pretending to cook in the kitchen and acting like she’s a magic princess.  Lately I haven’t been able to spend as much time with her as I’ve wanted to so I decided it was time for some mother/daughter shopping for some Disney Princess items.

If anyone has shopped with a toddler, you know you have to keep them entertained.  When my daughter was younger, I used food…Goldfish and Cheerios were her favorite.  Now that she’s 3, food doesn’t cut it (unless it’s candy).  She now prefers my phone to watch her “videos.”  Wanting to keep with the theme of the shopping trip, I downloaded the Disney Princess Royal Ball app on my iPhone.

It’s always embarrassing when your kid knows how to work an app on your phone and you don’t so I decided to check out the app before we headed to Walmart.  When I started the app, I was greeted by the royal messenger bird.  His birdy friends then brought me my official invitation to the Royal Ball.

After checking out the map, I knew I had to stop by the Princess Boutique and Carriage shop before heading to the Royal Palace but what I didn’t know was how much fun it would be.  Inside the Princess Boutique I was able to pick scroll through a several beautiful dresses but in order to unlock some of them, I needed to head to my local Walmart store and find the Disney Princess display.  Now that I knew how to use the app, I loaded my daughter in the car and off to Walmart we headed.

We found the Disney Princess aisle of the store pretty quickly since it was the busiest aisle of the store.  After it cleared out a bit, we went to pick out some princess items for my little princess.  My daughter was overwhelmed with all of the choices, to the point that she even forgot about playing with my phone!  Of all the items she had to choose from, I know what her choice would be as soon as I saw it…

The cash register with the play makeup! She loves to play grocery store and now, I think she’ll probably pretend she’s working at Sephora. :)  I couldn’t get it out of her hands and that’s probably a good thing since I couldn’t find any of the Disney trigger points for the app.

After playing with the cash register and checking out some of the other , we headed over the to bicycles.  My daughter had asked for a bicycle on several different occasions so I decided it was finally time to get her one.  The 12″ bike was the perfect size for her.  At the end of our mother/daughter shopping trip we walked away with the Disney Princess MagiClip castle, a Belle Magiclip figurine and a Disney Princess bicycle helment.  Walmart didn’t have any bikes in stock so we went home and ordered it online.  I decided to give her the castle early but the bicycle, that’s my little surprise. :)

Cute bike! My girls used to LOVE Disney Princess. One of my daughter’s names is Jasmine so tend to buy her anything and everything I can find that is Princess Jasmine (yes, even now that she is 10) It is blessing and a curse that they don’t do much with her anymore- I’d go broke if they offered as much for Princess Jasmine as they do for the others :)
