Are you an avocado lover? When they are in season I buy more than my fair share! My entire family loves avocados.
When most of us think about eating an avocado we think of enjoying it fresh on salads or eating it as guacamole with tortilla chips. Don’t get me wrong, both are excellent ways to enjoy avocados but I have been on the hunt lately for a few other ways to enjoy this nutrient packed veggie.

What is your favorite avocado recipe?
One great resource I have found for finding a wealth of information on avocados, including awesome avocado recipes is the Avocados from Mexico Community!
You can not only find great recipes for all occasions from the contributors but you can also check out the Chef’s corner to find professionally created recipes. I would personally never think of using avocados in some of the ways they do so creatively but I can’t wait to try a few more of the recipes I have found. I have added avocado to a few dessert recipes but would never think of using it in frosting and homemade ice cream! I browsed the recipes section of the site the longest, and felt like I gained five pounds when I was finished!
When you find an avocado recipe you like, simply add the ingredients to an online shopping list you can then print out. That helps to save time and make sure you don’t forget what you need for your avocado recipe. Pretty cool, right!
Do you love creating recipes? If you do, you can even add your own avocado recipe to be shared on the site. I can’t wait to add a few of my own avocado recipes to see what others think. The Avocado from Mexico Community blog which just launched this month and the Avocado channel will show additional ways you can use avocados. I love the large bright photos that are used and some of the awesome tips they share.
