After all her travels, Barbie realized that Malibu is where her heart is and has decided to stay there in her newly renovated Dreamhouse! I knew it would be hard for Barbie to give up that posh piece of property and she did what any smart business woman would do, she reinvested in herself. Who says blondes are dumb?!
The Barbie’s new Dreamhouse is three-stories, has 6 rooms, two elevators and unmatched “ocean views” of the Malibu coastline. And of course her new Barbie’s Dreamhouse features a few luxe details – like pink stainless steel kitchen appliances and a walk-in closet with its own elevator – a first for the fashion icon. It has everything my 4-year old girl could ever want in a doll house and even comes with a puppy! From the moment Brecken saw the box being delivered, she wanted it play with it.
Growing up I was not a big fan of dolls. As much as I thought Brecken would follow in my foot steps, she’s taken the opposite approach. She loves all things girly and what is more girly that Barbie? I enjoy listening to the “conversations” that her Barbies have. Usually they are discussing who’s turn it is to bake in the kitchen or which one of them needs to needs to take the dog out. For a girl who’s favorite color is pink and loves dolls, the Barbie Dreamhouse was the perfect gift for her.
Available at Walmart and retail stores nationwide, the MSRP is $184.99. If you’re surprising your child, be warned, the box is huge! You’ll need to find a good hiding place! And dedicate a few hours to put it together, like when your child is sleeping, so you don’t have to hear, “are you done yet?”
