Wednesday night I had a date with the cutest 4-year old I know. Of all the things we could do in the Chicagoland area, there was only one thing we wanted to do: spend some mother – daughter bonding time at Disney On Ice.
Disney productions are always top-notch and this show was no exception! The lovely Val Warner from Windy City Live welcomed the audience to the show. What followed was an evening of Disney of magic. Along with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto there were performances from several of the Disney princesses, Nemo and Dori, Woody and Buzz Lightyear and my favorite the Incredibles, just to name a few.
Brecken’s favorite part of the evening had to be when Pocahontas and John Smith came out. Last weekend we watched Pocahontas I & II, where she became enamored with her. When Pocahontas skated away, Brecken told me that she was, “so beautiful.” In a world of blonde hair, blue-eyed princesses, it was refreshing to hear my daughter my daughter say that.
