I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Sprint. I received a sample device to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. #SprintMom #sponsored #MC

It’s not secret that I like to work out.  A couple of months ago my boyfriend and I went on an outdoor adventure where we hiked about 60 miles through 3 national parks. I’ve been known to run a half-marathon or two and recently started cycling. Even with all these outdoor activities, I’m like everyone else. Life gets in the way and sometimes I need something or someone to motivate me to work out.

Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of girlfriends who like to do the same type of fitness activities so that means instead of a someone, I need a something to get me moving. That’s where my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S® 5 comes in. With Sprint Fit Live I have easy access to all my favorite health and activity apps.

Some people are competitive with one another, I’m competitive with myself. I use fitness apps to track my distance, pace and how I felt during a particular activity. I could care less if the person next to me is ahead or behind me, what I care about is that my pace is within 15 seconds of my fastest pace and that my average pace stays the same or decreases.

That’s why I like MapMyFitness. It tracks everything! I’ve used other apps and they’ll track the normal things like running, walking, biking, etc. This app tracks all of those activities and the things I need to be doing more of such as push-ups and sit-ups.

My Sprint phone makes it easy to be accountable….to myself. After all, I’m doing this to improve my health and how I feel about myself.

What are your favorite fitness apps?
