Thank you to Dasani for sponsoring this post and as a reminder, you must be 21 to consume alcoholic beverages. When doing so, please drink responsibly. No drinking and driving, and no drinking and texting!
Everyone should have a during the holidays. Some people get all crazy and drink egg nog (which doesn’t sound remotely good to me) and others, buy a seasonal beer (OK, I’ve done that). This year I decided to be a little creative and tried a cranberry margarita recipe, of course with a little twist.
What I’ve learned is making a mixed drink for a crowd can be expensive and time consuming. When I’m hosting a party, the last thing I want to do is get stuck being the bartender. Margaritas are one of those drinks that are easy to make ahead of time. You can whip up a batch, throw them in the freezer and pull them out when you need them. And, I’ll let you in on a trick of mine, if you want to stretch your margaritas a bit (because good tequila is pricey), use some Dasani Sparking Water in your mix.
Now before you judge me for watering down my friends drinks (hey, some of them need this), at least I’m watering them down with something that has great flavor and no calories. They come in 4 different flavors (Lime, Berry, Black Cherry and Lemon) so whatever type of margarita you’re making, there’s a flavor to enhance your drink.
The cranberry margaritas were a hit and most definitely will be on the holiday entertaining menu next year. Even my non-fruit eating, husband liked them. How’s that for an endorsement!
