The official 60-day Insanity & Shakeology fitness is OVER!  Overall I'm pretty excited with my results.  I don't think I ever admitted my beginning weight but it was 115.3 lbs, aside from pregnancy, the most I have ever weighed in my life.  There were a variety of factors that led to the weight gain (holiday indulgences, overcommitting myself, marital stress, etc.) but ultimately I let it get out of control.  I'm happy to say the results are in and my new weight is: A total loss of … [Read more...]

Week 8 Insanity and Shakeology Fitness Challenge – I Made It!

This is a terrible photo but it's all that I have to prove I made below my 110 lb goal!  That's right, Sunday morning I weighed in at 108.9 lbs.  I usually do my weigh-ins on Monday morning but since I was leaving for Naples that morning, I decided to weigh and live with my results.  I'm glad I did. I should know better than to get cocky in my fitness challenge posts.  If you remember in Week 5 I boasted about my big weight loss (well, big for me) and how I thought it would be so easy to break the 110 mark the following week.  Not only did I not break it, I gained 1.2 lbs. Week 3: Insanity & Shakeology Challenge – PB2 Where Have You Been My Whole Life?

My goals this week are to work out before 8 pm, go to bed before 2 am and get up before 8 am.  Lofty goals, I know.  Even for a self-proclaimed night owl, getting 5-6 hours of sleep each night is starting to wear thin.  Last night, I started my workout at 11:45 pm!!  Even though I'm doing the work-outs, I don't feel I'm giving 100% and the my weight loss results reflect it.  This week I only lost .2 lbs for a total of 2 lbs from the start of the program.  Even though I went into this only … [Read more...]

Woo hoo!  I've completed one week of my Insanity & Shakeology Fitness Challenge.  I forgot how tough this workout is!  I don't care if you run every day, for all my runner friends who don't cross-train (like me), you'll definitely feel the burn.  I actually completed all of my workouts and drank Shakeology every day except for one.  I have to say my favorite way to drink Shakeology is to combine it with 6 oz of skim milk, a cup of ice and a tablespoon of peanut butter.  It's my sweet treat … [Read more...]
