Week 9 Insanity & Shakeology Fitness Challenge: The Results Are In

Goodbye on the Left, Hello on the Right. :)

The official 60-day Insanity & Shakeology fitness is OVER!  Overall I'm pretty excited with my results.  I don't think I ever admitted my beginning weight but it was 115.3 lbs, aside from pregnancy, the most I have ever weighed in my life.  There were a variety of factors that led to the weight gain (holiday indulgences, overcommitting myself, marital stress, etc.) but ultimately I let it get out of control.  I'm happy to say the results are in and my new weight is: A total loss of … [Read more...]

Week 8 Insanity and Shakeology Fitness Challenge – I Made It!

Terrible iPhone photo but proof of my weight loss (& that I painted my toe nails).

This is a terrible photo but it's all that I have to prove I made below my 110 lb goal!  That's right, Sunday morning I weighed in at 108.9 lbs.  I usually do my weigh-ins on Monday morning but since I was leaving for Naples that morning, I decided to weigh and live with my results.  I'm glad I did. This week is my last week of the Insanity and Shakeology fitness challenge.  It's had it's ups and downs but thankfully, mostly downs (as in weight!).  I definitely feel like I'm in better … [Read more...]

Week 6 & 7 Insanity & Shakeology Fitness Challenge – How To Deal With Weight Gain

Bad Day

I should know better than to get cocky in my fitness challenge posts.  If you remember in Week 5 I boasted about my big weight loss (well, big for me) and how I thought it would be so easy to break the 110 mark the following week.  Not only did I not break it, I gained 1.2 lbs. Why did this happen?  Because I was unmotivated and didn't work out.  It's a simple as that.  There were 900 other things I needed to do that week and working out never seemed to be a priority.  My step-son was in town … [Read more...]

Week 5 Insanity & Shakeology Fitness Challenge – This Week Rocked!

Insanity Fitness Challenge Weigh-In

Seriously, it did.  And you want to know why?  See that number below?  That number means I lost 1.8 lbs from last week.  That number also means if I don't blow it the rest of the week by eating my weight in potato chips, at my next weigh-in I should slide in right under that 110 mark.  Haha, which reminds me of a guy that my friend Emily and I used to call 110.  Not because he weighed 110 lbs (though he was pretty skinny) but because he bragged about his shoes that cost $110. We had lots … [Read more...]

Week 3: Insanity & Shakeology Challenge – PB2 Where Have You Been My Whole Life?

PB2 Chocolate

My goals this week are to work out before 8 pm, go to bed before 2 am and get up before 8 am.  Lofty goals, I know.  Even for a self-proclaimed night owl, getting 5-6 hours of sleep each night is starting to wear thin.  Last night, I started my workout at 11:45 pm!!  Even though I'm doing the work-outs, I don't feel I'm giving 100% and the my weight loss results reflect it.  This week I only lost .2 lbs for a total of 2 lbs from the start of the program.  Even though I went into this only … [Read more...]

Week 1: Insanity & Shakeology Fitness Challenge

Woo hoo!  I've completed one week of my Insanity & Shakeology Fitness Challenge.  I forgot how tough this workout is!  I don't care if you run every day, for all my runner friends who don't cross-train (like me), you'll definitely feel the burn.  I actually completed all of my workouts and drank Shakeology every day except for one.  I have to say my favorite way to drink Shakeology is to combine it with 6 oz of skim milk, a cup of ice and a tablespoon of peanut butter.  It's my sweet treat … [Read more...]

My Goodbye Pictures

Pikes Peak Ascent 1999 - back when I was fit!

Today I embark on a new journey.  A journey that will hopefully take my flabby abs and cultivate them into something that slightly resembles a six-pack.  Six-pack of what I'm not sure, but I'll take anything at this point.  A journey that will hopefully get rid of this horrid disease I have, AFAS (Asian Flat Ass Syndrome), and finally curb this diet pop addiction that I have.  So in anticipation of my new journey, I'm taking my goodbye pictures. Now some people call them "before" pictures … [Read more...]
