With more sports games than I can count on TV, including both football and basketball right now, it makes perfect sense to use a sporting event as an excuse to get friends together to enjoy good food and each other’s company. And these game day snack ideas come in handy when these events occur.

One of our favorite snacks to cook up when we have friends and family over are Mrs. T Pierogies. And the best part about them is that you can doctor them up with just about any topping!

This time around we took some potato & 4 cheese pierogies and topped them with some melted velveeta and salsa. They paired perfectly with the game day spread we planned for our basketball viewing party.

My girlfriends loved hearing how easy it was to make the pierogies and how effortless it was to spice them up. They’ll be picking up a few boxes for their freezer before the next big game.

Is there a Runza Restaurant in Wichita? If you find one, try it. They are all over Nebraska and I think in Lawrence, KS. I used to love them when I lived in Lincoln.
